What is professional microneedling?
Professional microneedling uses a clinic device to create controlled micro-channels in the skin as part of a planned treatment for texture, post-acne scarring and skin-quality concerns. At ClearSkin4u it is only recommended after assessment.
How much does microneedling cost?
A single MediMD microneedling treatment is £80. A course of four is £280. A course of six is £420. You normally start with a £50 Skin Discovery Consultation before treatment.
Why do I need a Skin Discovery Consultation first?
Microneedling is not automatic. The consultation lets Gemma assess your skin, history, concerns and goals, and decide whether microneedling or another pathway is the better next step.
What happens to the £50 consultation fee if I book treatment?
The £50 is a Skin Discovery Consultation fee. If you subsequently book treatment, it is credited towards the treatment price. If no treatment is booked, the £50 remains the consultation fee.
How many microneedling sessions might I need?
It depends on your skin and goals. Some clients need a single treatment; others a course. Gemma will advise what is right for you.
Can microneedling help acne scarring?
It can help with post-acne texture and scarring once active inflammation is controlled. Results vary, and improvement is not the same as removing scars completely.
Can I have microneedling if I still have active acne?
Microneedling is usually for scarring and texture rather than active, inflamed breakouts. Active acne support starts with assessment. See our Acne Support information.
